BLOODLINES
Our first pony, a mare, was fortunately of Marshwood
breeding—one could hardly have a more auspicious beginning.
Our first stallion was a Birling son of Fandango of Wetherden—Marshwood and
South Park (Fairy) breeding.
Mindful of a tendency among many of the studs of small ponies to be lacking in
bone and substance we set ourselves the task of getting a stallion with plenty
of bone, yet small and of the right type—result Firth Conquest. Marshwood blood
through his sire and Houlland and Island breeding on his dam’s side. His
grandsire is Firth Bracken.
Our next stallion was Parkview Dandy - of Houlland, Marshwood and a touch of
Fairy.
Ever mindful of type and movement as well as substance we then acquired Seva
Yesman—style and action personified—going back to Transy lines.
Fredrick the Great has Fairy blood on both sides of his pedigree.
We also use a son of Conquest—namely, Garfield of Glenkee .
Other stallions used in our Stud include :- Glenkee Pan, Glenkee Totality,
Glenkee Ulster and Glenkee Viking.
The above details reveal mostly Marshwood, Fairy and to a lesser extent Transy
Breeding.
Among the best of the old bloodlines!!
Our aim is to produce SMALL ponies of true breed TYPE with good ACTION, STYLE,
SUBSTANCE and PRESENCE.
